We catch up on trailers, Deadly Class, and movies we’ve seen.
The power couple discusses the first half of the 8-part Dark Knight III series from DC Comics, written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello with art by Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson. We start the week talking about some new trailers (Doctor Strange, Jason Bourne, Magnificent Seven, The Girl on the Train, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Independence Day: Resurgence); you can tell we're really "excited" about all these movies because we each use that word about ten times a piece while describing our reactions to the trailers (3:50). We the talk about the upcoming Flash movie and the ongoing Flash tv show (15:28) before briefly touching on the upcoming Punisher tv series from Netflix (18:29). Some of the best new comics from the week are next, even though Charlene read approximately none of them (19:35). We watched the latest film adaptation of MacBeth this week (24:31) and talk about the expanding podcast network of The Ringer (26:42). Next up is our first impression of the new Game of Thrones recap show After the Thrones on HBO (28:54), and we follow that up with some talk about the first episode of Game of Thrones, season 6 (30:50). Lastly, before we get to Dark Knight, we cover Beyonce's visual album Lemonade (34:07). Then, the best part: BATMAN (36:51)!
The power couple discusses the first episode of season 2 of DareDevil on Netflix. There's more tv talk as we dive in and try to catch up on the highly praised FX show, The Americans. In comics this week we talk about Superman: American Alien #5, Power Man and Iron Fist #2, and Ms. Marvel. We also discuss some interesting podcasts from the week and other exciting geek news.
It's our first bonus episode! The power couple deviates from the norm for Episode 8, briefly discussing the newly released X-Men: Days of Future Past movie, and then moving on to a battle of the wits. It is our first quiz show, featuring questions from the DC Universe and some questionably titled B movies. Check it our here, on iTunes, and on Stitcher.
