The power couple discusses the first half of the 8-part Dark Knight III series from DC Comics, written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello with art by Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson. We start the week talking about some new trailers (Doctor Strange, Jason Bourne, Magnificent Seven, The Girl on the Train, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Independence Day: Resurgence); you can tell we're really "excited" about all these movies because we each use that word about ten times a piece while describing our reactions to the trailers (3:50). We the talk about the upcoming Flash movie and the ongoing Flash tv show (15:28) before briefly touching on the upcoming Punisher tv series from Netflix (18:29). Some of the best new comics from the week are next, even though Charlene read approximately none of them (19:35). We watched the latest film adaptation of MacBeth this week (24:31) and talk about the expanding podcast network of The Ringer (26:42). Next up is our first impression of the new Game of Thrones recap show After the Thrones on HBO (28:54), and we follow that up with some talk about the first episode of Game of Thrones, season 6 (30:50). Lastly, before we get to Dark Knight, we cover Beyonce's visual album Lemonade (34:07). Then, the best part: BATMAN (36:51)!
The power couple focuses this week on the Godworld arc of Black Science, the book written by Rick Remender with art by Matteo Scalera, published by Image Comics. But first, in our week-in-review, we talk about watching Sailor Moon on Hulu (1:52) and share more Batman v. Superman news (4:05). We also cover NBC's live tv productions (7:21), Iron Fist on Netflix and in print (8:29), Gilmore Girls (10:37), the first arc of the newest DareDevil series by Charles Soule (12:02), images that have surfaced of movies currently in production (we're looking at you, Doctor Strange and Wonder Woman!) (13:37), DC's upcoming Rebirth (16:09), and the return of The Flash on the CW (16:51). In a rare foray into music, we also briefly discuss a newfound band (BABYMETAL) and their newly released sophomore effort (Metal Resistance) (20:37). After all that we dive into Black Science, specifically the 5-issue arc titled Godworld that just wrapped up this week with issue #21. With lots of creativity, introspection, and beautiful art, Remender and Scalera continue to take Black Science in interesting new directions.
The power couple discusses the latest trailers for Game of Thrones and Captain America: Civil War, as well as some upcoming projects like Netflix's Iron Fist, the new Black Panther Series, and the Dark Tower movie. We also talk about Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, a new Netflix original movie. Comic books from this week include Doctor Strange and Descender. And in television we discuss 11.22.63, Breaking Bad, and Cooked.

For movies we watched Kung Fu Panda 3, Magic Mike, The Visit, and the first half of Sicario. Instead of talking about podcasts we talked about some podcasts advertisers we are either trying or interested in, like Headspace and The Great Courses Plus. We also hit on the SuperBowl and Valentine's Day.
